A motor from our 105 Range (AKA 35 Range, RG Series), these motors measure 105mm or 3.5″ body diameter. These highly popular Pole Star AC direct drive blower motors are produced in 2, 4 and 6 pole versions with a motor output power which range from 8 to 150 watts. These direct driven blower fan motors are predominantly used in HVAC ventilation and warm air heating and comfort cooling applications within a direct drive blower unit.

The motors are a P.S.C. (permanent split capacitor) style of motor which means a run/start capacitor is required in order to get the motor started and continue to run. The capacitor method enables a higher level of efficiency compared to the older shaded pole design which lost most of the energy as heat. They are generally a class B insulated motor with sealed for life ball bearings which enable operation at temperatures of -30 to +40 degrees in an air over motor capacity.

The motor body can be ventilated, totally enclosed or extruded shell depending upon the application and mounting arrangement required. They are mainly mounted on either three or four radial mounting arms which are connected to the motor body but alternatively can be fixed via belly band, fixed radial arms or tapped holes on the end shield.
