RE & REO Series (Guard Mounted Axial)

OLMO’s “RE” & “REO” range of axial fans were propelled by an external rotor motor directly coupled with the impeller and function as a compact and homogeneous package. These fans are particularly suitable for air movement because, due to the properties of the external rotor, they combine compactness, low noise level and high efficiency. They have a soft start with low starting current. The motor is directly cooled by the airflow passing through the fan. The speed of these motors can be electronically controlled.

OLMO’s axial fans were normally used in refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning sectors. The extensive range in this series ensures that the individual customer requirements are easily satisfied.

“RE” series axial fans, with diameters up to 350mm, are manufactured with an external rotor motor directly coupled with a 5 blade metal impeller. The fan is painted entirely with a synthetic bi-component material and has a fixing guard designed in compliance with the “Safety of machinery” standard EN 294 (safety distances to prevent danger zones being reached by the upper limbs).

These fans are rated single-phase 230/240V – 50/60Hz or three-phase 230/400V – 50/60Hz, 4 pole, insulations class “B” and internal protection IP44. Operating temperature range is from -50⁰C to +50⁰C.

Axial fans with, diameters from 400mm to 630mm, are manufacturers with an external rotor motor on which is fixed an aluminium 4 blade impeller. The fan is entirely painted with a bi-component synthetic material. The fan is again supplied with a fixing guard.

The 800mm diameter fan is supplied with an unpainted aluminium impeller, 4 sickle shaped blades and connection box. The fan is three phase rated 400V – 50Hz, 2 speed, 6 poles, insulation class “F” and internal protection IP55. The special blade shape considerably reduces airflow turbulence which is usually located around the blade inlet rim and blade outlet rim. As such, the fan offers low noise level and high aeraulic efficiency.

The “REO” series are generally used in condensing units. They are manufactured with plastic impellers especially designed to reduce vibration and noise level, assuring high aeraulic efficiency. A4 blade, elephant-ear plastic impeller made from polyamide resins reinforced with fibreglass is used.
